Project Description
The Burlington Town Center Mall was a fast-paced project that was situated in the heart of Burlington, Vermont. Jackson was contracted for the asbestos abatement, demolition and foundation removal of approximately 205,000 SF of an existing two-story mall and the total demolition of a five-story, 200,000 SF steel parking garage.
The demolition required the mechanical separation of the demolition area from portions of the mall that was slated to remain. Due to the location of the job and its proximity to downtown, site logistics and management was challenging, but the project was completed safely and efficiently. This was a LEED certified project.
