Project Description

This project consisted of the demolition of a 60 foot brick chimney at the Southwest Vermont Medical Center. All protections were put in place so there was no disruption of processes at the functioning medical center during demolition.

The chimney was systematically chopped down to roof level using a combination of a man lift, telehandler and air hammers. Demolition debris was removed as it was generated in conjuntion with dust control. The chimney was brought down to within a foot of the rooftop and capped off with an insulated weatherproof cap.
