Project Description

This was a fast-paced project that was situated in the heart of an active college campus located in Schenectady, New York. Jackson was contracted for the asbestos abatement, demolition and foundation removal of 60,000 sf of existing buildings. The demolition involved 2 complete building separations through mechanical separation and the removal of structural steel, concrete and roofing systems. The interior ACM abatement and full strip out included 80,000 sf over 5 levels. Due to the location of the job and its proximity to the active college campus, site logistics and management was challenging, but the project was completed safely and efficiently.
