Project Description

This project consisted of environmental cleanup, interior demolition of the hotel annex with all non-loadbearing members being removed for the entire building to be demolished by controlled implosion. Dust-control measures were put in place before the former hotel annex was demolished, as well as a complete post-implosion clean-up operation, ensuring roads and businesses were reopened quickly. Over 60 percent of the demolished material was recycled, including 5,700 tons of concrete and 30 loads of steel.
